Service terms.
Last updated:
These terms explain how HandyTech enquiries, quotations and bookings are handled. HandyTech is operated by URBAN BUILD & ELECTRICAL SOLUTION PTE. LTD. (UEN 202415287K) in Singapore.
1. Enquiries and confirmed bookings
A website form, call or message is a request to discuss a job. A booking is confirmed when both sides agree on the scope and timing, together with any required deposit or other conditions stated in the quotation.
Quotation validity is as stated when issued. For urgent electrical faults, call first; attendance depends on availability and the situation.
2. Prices and additional work
Prices are in Singapore dollars. “From” prices are starting guides, not a fixed price for every job. Assessment, access and the final scope may affect the quotation.
The quotation should identify what is included and excluded: labour, parts/materials, access equipment, visit/call-out charges, after-hours work, disposal and any applicable taxes, where relevant. Mandatory charges must be included upfront or clearly disclosed if they cannot reasonably be calculated in advance.
Additional work or revised charges require your agreement before that extra work proceeds.
3. Payments and deposits
Payment timing, accepted methods and any deposit are confirmed in writing before booking or work starts, as appropriate to the job.
Any special-order material or other upfront commitment should be identified in the quotation. Keep the agreed quotation and payment record for reference.
4. Changes, cancellation and refunds
If you need to change or cancel an appointment, contact us as soon as possible. Any cancellation, rescheduling or special-order charge must be explained and agreed in writing before booking.
Any refund is considered against the agreed terms, the work or materials already provided and applicable law. Where work cannot proceed as agreed, the next steps and any payment adjustment should be discussed clearly.
Your statutory rights remain protected. Check any job-specific cancellation and refund conditions before confirming the booking.
5. Access and the agreed scope
Provide accurate job details, explain access restrictions and arrange any necessary owner or building permission. Access should be safe for the agreed work.
Unexpected conditions or safety concerns may require the scope or timing to be reviewed with you. Work requiring a licensed professional or approval is subject to applicable Singapore requirements and the agreed arrangements.
6. 30-day workmanship cover
Completed work is covered for 30 days after handover against faults caused by our workmanship on that agreed work.
- How to report: contact us when the issue is noticed, with the job date/reference, a description and photos where helpful.
- What happens next: we assess the reported issue. If it is confirmed as a workmanship fault covered by this promise, an appropriate correction will be arranged.
- Outside this cover: unrelated faults, misuse, later third-party alterations or failures of third-party equipment. Any separate product/manufacturer warranty is distinct from workmanship cover.
Applicable consumer rights are not limited to this 30-day promise.
7. Your rights and liability
Nothing in these terms removes a right or excludes a liability that Singapore law does not allow to be removed or excluded. This includes liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence.
Any job-specific liability term must be lawful and meet any applicable reasonableness requirement. These terms are governed by the laws of Singapore.
8. Questions or concerns
If a quotation, appointment or completed job needs clarification, contact us with the relevant job details so the issue and proposed next step can be reviewed.
